I'm a well-traveled former Army brat from New Jersey who's seen most of this country (and Canada) except the Pacific Northwest, Rockies, and upper New England. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Mass Comm and I'm a Democrat. (And in spite of all the mythology coming from the dark side, we're not all liberals)

Progress Report

My Doughnut Hole

It's nearly the first day of March and here's my progress. I'm setting prices right now and I've started with the pitchers. The bullpen is done, although I may tinker with it right up to draft day. I'm nearly halfway through the starters. I can tell you this much, owners, the prices have gone down since I last did old school two years ago. There are no $50 pitchers. In fact, the most expensive is Mariano Rivera. He is $46, followed by Eric Gagne at $45. The most expensive starter is Johan Santana at $44 and only three other starters are $40+. The caps, by the way, are still $300. So, you'll find a lot of bargains this year. Mike Mussina is just $13. Pedro Martinez is only $27. Pick up Kris Benson for $15. Mark Mulder for $20. I hope I won't have to adjust these prices upward, but I don't think that's likely. I'd like to finish pricing the starters and start on the outfielder before this weekend. After that it's all gravy, but then I have to put them either in this blog or type them out like I did last time in a Word file. I'll leave it up to you to voice your opinion. The draft is March 26 at noon. What happens after that God only knows.

I am Commissioner Gimpy
